We congratulate Dr. Björn Heinrichs on his successfully completed medical doctorate with the title "Contribution of the voltage-gated sodium channels Nav1.7 and Nav1.8 to the pathophysiology of pain and autism"!
As part of his PhD, he biophysically investigated the two Nav1.8 variants p.R512X and p.I1511M in HEK cells, classifying the latter as Nav1.8 loss-of function.
