Patient Care
Dear patients,
Dear colleagues:
The team at University Hospital RWTH Aachen's Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics offers a wide range of treatment and care. As a university clinic, we can draw on the latest diagnostic, psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment options. These include behavioral therapy, psychopharmacological treatment and socio-therapeutic offers ranging from approaches designed to help patients regain their ability to function in everyday life to support in integrating them into the world of employment.
The patients and their needs are the focus of all courses of treatment and therapy that we offer. Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational, art and physiotherapists and psychiatric nurses develop customized concepts for treatment based on the patient's diagnosis and the latest scientific findings and treatment guidelines. Depending on the severity and nature of the illness, we offer outpatient, day patient and inpatient treatment. We also work closely with a wide range of partners in the region.
Our range of services covers the entire spectrum of psychiatric illnesses and disorders:
- Organic mental disorders
- Schizophrenic disorders
- Affective disorders
- Anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders
- Stress-related, somatoform and eating disorders
- Personality and behavioral disorders
- Addiction
Furthermore we offer undergraduate students advice and help, if they need psychological support. The Center for Mental Health for Students (ZPG) is a collaboration between RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen.
Strict quality management ensures that the quality of patient care meets the highest standards. Because we aim to achieve the highest possible degree of patient satisfaction and safety, our multidisciplinary quality management task group is continually initiating and following up on optimization processes.
