The NGS diagnostic centre is a central service unit for NGS applications at the University Hospital of the RWTH Aachen. It has been funded by the Institutes of Human Genetics and Genomic Medicine, Neuropathology, Pathology, and the Clinic for Hematology, Oncology, Hemostaseology  and Stem Cell Transplantation (Medizinische Klinik IV). The center aims on bundling of expertise and capacities of the diagnostic use of massive parallel sequencing at the University Hospital Aachen.

Specific applications and diagnostic portfolios are available at the participating institutions, covering both germline and somatic genomic alterations.
