We have established a sensitive RT-PCR test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 infections in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues (FFPE). Two different probes are used to detect the viral RNAs of B-beta coronavirus (B-ßCoV) in general and the Severe Acute Respiratoy Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
This is the method of choice for general, non-cell-type specific virus detection in FFPE material.

We have also established a sensitive FISH and CISH method for SARS-CoV-2 detection (sense and anti-sense RNA).
These are the methods of choice for questions regarding cell-specific virus detection in FFPE material.
