Our institute was founded in 2014. Our research team is active in biomedical research and in the education of physicians and scientists. Molecular medicine applies methods developed in the fields of molecular and cell biology to understand health and disease and translates this knowledge into modern therapy. In this context, the immune system is in the limelight. Besides fighting pathogens, cells of our immune system play crucial roles in regulating tissue functions and integrating signals from our environment. Molecular Medicine and Immunology thus represent major fields of both, modern medicine and basic research.
