Translational Neurodegeneration Section
The scientific focus of the Translational Neurodegeneration Section is the identification of disease-specific markers for neurodegenerative diseases by innovative methods and their evaluation in the context of clinical, laboratory chemical and genetic parameters. Various clinical, digital and imaging methods are used. The goal of our neuroscience research is to gain a better pathophysiological understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and to enable improved prediction of individual disease risk and progression, as well as to measure therapeutic effects. This work is carried out within the framework of the Jülich-Aachen Research Alliance (JARA-BRAIN) in close collaboration with the Research Centre Jülich.
