The technology has not reached a point yet, at which routine sequencing of large numbers of whole genomes is feasible, and so it is often necessary to select genomic regions of interest and to enrich these regions before sequencing. There are several enrichment approaches, each with unique advantages and disadvantages. Here we describe the progress of our leading target-enrichment technologies which supports Illumina and LifeTechnology platforms with catalog and custom solutions.
1. The SureSelect Target Enrichment Solution allows to target regions of human and other species even in a minimal number of samples, whether analyzing the exome or focusing on a small targeted panel. XT, XT2 and shearing free fast QXT library prep protocols will be presented and discussed
2. The HaloPlex Target Enrichment System enables fast, simple and efficient analysis of human genomic regions of interest. By combining single-tube target amplification and removing the need for library preparation, the total sample preparation time and cost is reduced without the need for dedicated instrumentation or automation.
The presentation gives an overview of the two technologies and selected clinical panels (Clinical Research Exome, Inherited Disease, HaloPlex HS) and a guideline to choose the best solution for a clinical project.
40 minutes presentation, followed by discussion.
