Theodore von Kármán fellow Prof. Dr. Stéphanie Portet arrived to spend a sabbatical at MOCA

Theodore von Kármán fellow Prof. Dr. Stéphanie Portet from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg/Canada arrived on January 15 to spend a sabbatical at MOCA. She will work on a collaborative research project together with the Institute of Imaging & Computer Vision (Prof. Merhof) to develop mathematical models of cytoskeletal filament dynamics based on live cell imaging data. The goal is to contribute to a better understanding of cytoskeletal network regulation in the context of epithelial physiology and pathology.
