Genetic / Multimodal Biomarkers in Epilepsies

Our work group pursues a translational path to generate multimodal  biomarkers and predictors for diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic aspects of epilepsies. We have a strong on focus on genetic epilepsies – exploring the interplay of polygenicity and phenotypes and determining the phenotype-genotype associations in monogenic epilepsies, using drosophila flies as model organism. We also employ clinical, imaging, and electrophysiologic data to determine diagnostic and prognostic predictors.
