This is an invitation to the award of the Honorary Fellow by the RWTH to Prof. Jonathan Barratt and a guest lecture.
Prof Barratt is one of the most internationally renowned nephrologists and clinical scientists in the field of kidney disease. His research focuses on clinical-translational studies in particular to improve our understanding of the pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy, a common cause of kidney failure worldwide, which is also one of the most important research foci of renal research at RWTH Aachen University. He has been a Full Professor of Nephrology at the University of Leicester since 2017. Mr Barratt is involved in most clinical trials on IgA, has served on key international clinical guideline committees and national registries for many years and is extremely active in international networks.
