Special Issues
We are proud to announce that we have three special issues related to the ICTEM conferences.
Outstanding papers will be published in special issues organized by renowned peer-reviewed journals in the field of trace element and mineral research.
While the special issue in Seminars in Cell and Developmental Biology is already published, those in the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology and in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences will be published next year.

Submission Deadline Extended: 31.12.2022
Please submit your manuscripts (research articles or reviews) in the following categories:
VSI: ICTEM conference 2022/23 – Research Paper
VSI: ICTEM conference 2022/23 – Review Paper
The special issue on the 1st „International Conference of Trace Elements and Minerals“ (ICTEM, www.ICTEM.de), taking place in Aachen, Germany July 5th – 10th, 2022 will include original papers, reviews, and short communications, containing high quality work that was presented during the conference. As ICTEM 2022 is the first conference that unites the ISZB (International Society for Zinc Biology), TEMA (Trace Elements in Man and Animal), GMS (German Society of Minerals and Trace elements) and ISTERH (International Society for Trace Element Research in Humans), this special issue will reflect the interdisciplinary character of the conference and is open for submission of scientists from the fields of agriculture (bio-)chemistry, biology, (animal) nutrition, (veterinary) medicine, microbiology, mycology, physiology, dentistry and adjacent fields. Submissions based on talks from one of the sessions or on one of the posters will be accepted. In total, 10 - 15 studies on trace elements or minerals, especially on their interaction, will be considered for publication. Authors should strictly adhere for the instructions to publish in the JTEMB.
Elsevier is proud to offer you choices in how your paper is published. Regular publication is free of charge, for open access the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology (JTEMB) is offering a 25% discount on the article publishing charge (APC) for all submissions to this special issue that are accepted for publication after peer review.
