The European Federation for Orthopaedics and Traumatology comprises 45 national Orthopaedic associations and is the by far largest platform for European Orthopaedics, aiming at exchanging knowledge and experience within Europe and other parts of the world.
Abstract submission for the 23rd EFORT Congress in Lisbon, from 22 to 24 June 2022, is still open.
The Executive Committee of EFORT recently asked Dr. Holger Jahr, from the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology, to join their Science Committee. This year, the translational basic science section organizes a Symposium on how future Medical Devices may aid in preventing implant infections.
Dr. Jahr and Dr. Moroni, from MERLN in Maastricht, co-organized this Symposium entitled “Additive Manufacturing Of Future Orthopaedic Biomaterials”, which was exceptionally integrated in the main program on Thursday 23 June 2022, and covers state-of-the-art contributions from leading scientists from five European countries.
