Junior Professor Roman D. Bülow receives Young Scientist ERAC Award

Junior Professor Dr. med. Roman D. Bülow from the Institute of Pathology at RWTH Aachen University Hospital has been awarded the “ERAC Innovation in Nephrology in the Age of Digital Revolution Award” by Leading European Nephrology (ERA). Jun. Prof. Bülow will receive the award at the 62nd ERA Congress, which will take place from June 4 to 7, 2025. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros.

Dr. med. Roman David Bülow is Junior Professor of Digital Pathology at the Institute of Pathology at RWTH Aachen University Hospital. His research focuses on computer-assisted approaches in pathology - in particular pathomics in classic kidney biopsies and the evaluation of multiplex images for the further development of clinical and translational nephropathology. 

The European Renal Association (ERA) is one of the largest nephrology associations in the world. Their aim is to reduce the impact of kidney disease - among other things by promoting research in the fields of clinical nephrology, dialysis and transplantation medicine.

The award also underlines the international reputation of RWTH Aachen University Hospital as a location for excellent research.
